PlatinumGames’ NEO-CLASSIC ARCADE series carries on the spirit and excitement of traditional gaming through modern technologies, and the first project in this endeavor can be described as Sol Cresta. Sol Cresta uses the same form and docking techniques that were used in Terra Cresta’s classic shooting game Moon Cresta. It also utilizes the latest “free-form docking system”. The flagship Yamato comprises the three ships Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susano is able to use a variety of attacks depending on how the three ships are aligned. Splitting, docking and refitting the vessels when necessary is essential to defeating the invading armies of Mandler.
